RECENT AND ONGOING PROJECTS

REUTERS EDITORIAL STOCK IMAGES

In the final three years of my picture-editing career at Reuters, my manager tasked me with contributing seasonal and thematic stock editorial images—a responsibility that directly influenced my performance evaluation. Although my primary role was the real-time editing, verification, and curation of Reuters’ global news images, I dedicated additional hours outside of office time to create these stock images. Despite the infrequency of my contributions, the challenge pushed me to think creatively and step beyond the fast-paced demands of breaking news photo editing.

As a self-taught photographer, this assignment became a pivotal moment in my career. Without formal guidance, I developed both my technical and creative skills independently, which deepened my passion for photography and storytelling. Inspired by this drive, I pursued formal training at Ohio University, where I refined my craft and transitioned fully into a career as a photojournalist. Today, my work is fueled by a commitment to in-depth visual narratives—a journey that began with those early stock image challenges at Reuters.
